Richard Mazda is a UK-born actor, writer, and director who is now a proud American citizen. He founded The Secret Theatre in 2007, where he served as the Artistic Director. As a producer, Richard has taken on various roles, including Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol,” Fagin in “Oliver!”—for which he also designed the set and lighting—and Justice Wargrave in “And Then There Were None.” His favorite role has been Richard III. Richard is an ASCAP award winner for writing the Billboard R&B number one hit “How Long.” He currently remains the owner and artistic director of The Secret Theatre, The Secret Theatre Academy, and Vital Art Studios.
Michael is an Actor, Singer, and Dancer born and raised in NY. He is thrilled to be a part of the team at the Secret Theatre! Past credits as an actor include The Peterborough Players, The John W. Engeman Theatre, The Palace Theatre, and Red Mountain Theatre Company and as a dancer, he has performed in The Queensborough Dance Festival, Broadway By The Year at The Town Hall, and Saks 5th Ave “Theatre of Dreams.” He has studied with and performed in pieces choreographed by, Max Pollak, Andrew Nemr, and Marshall Davis Jr. Follow him on Instagram for videos of him busking in Central Park and pictures of pizza.
Emily Peiffer is an NYC based actor, physical theatre creator, and teaching artist. She has a BFA degree in acting from Coastal Carolina University and she studied in Italy at Accademia Dell’Arte, where she focused on devising and creating work revolving around masks and clown. She has also participated in the Pedagogy and Theatre Of the Oppressed Conference- a theatre conference focused on creating theatre in conversation with the social/political issues in the area. Her teaching background extends from after school programs, Boys and Girls Club work, and reading programs. She’s very excited to be a part of the Secret Theatre team and can’t wait to meet your creative kiddos!
Carla is a singer-actor from the Philippines based in New York City. She received her Bachelors as a Voice major and Piano minor at Silliman University, Philippines. Carla was a featured soloist in national events in the Philippines and Malaysia, such as “Voices in Harmony” with the Sarawak Symphony Orchestra and Broadway Our Way. Her recent performances include the US Premiere of The Clockmaker’s Daughter, Les Miserables, Into the Woods, and Shoe Story. Carla’s Off-Broadway credits include Dear Mom, I’m Gay, Wow, Seattle?, and Bullet Points. She is also a member of Babaje, a women’s trio, and prestigious choirs in New York, such as the Amor Artis & Dessoff Choirs. Carla was a finalist of The Doreen Montalvo “Do It Anyway” Scholarship by R.Evolucion Latina. She is passionate about teaching at the Secret Theatre Academy and nurturing the young generation!
Danielle is Dancer and Choreographer based in NYC. She graduated from Manhattanville University with a double major in Dance and Mathematics. Throughout her studies, she has trained in many styles of dance such as ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, and hip hop. Danielle currently dances in NYC with Not Shy Dance Crew, HINT Dance Team, Offbrnd NYC, and Evermore Dance. She also founded K-Pop Dance Crew (KDC) at Manhattanville. She has choreographed several pieces at Manhattanville and has performed for many artists and organizations such as I Love Dance Company, Miss A’s Min, and at Barclays’ Halftime Show for the NY Liberty. She is excited to be teaching at the Secret Academy!
Miles is an actor, music director, and composer. He has directed and performed all over the world, as well as overseas as a Vocal Director for Royal Caribbean International. He has written several musicals, including To the Fairest which made its NYC stage debut in winter 2022. Miles holds a BFA in music theatre and a minor in composition from The Hartt School. Georgina Bates is a NY and CT based choreographer/director, actor, dancer, and educator. She has presented work and performed at venues such as HERE Arts, Lincoln Center, City Center, and many more. She trained in ballet, theatre dance, Fosse, jazz and hip hop in Los Angeles and moved to the East coast where she was awarded scholarships to various programs such as Musical Theater at CCY (Wesleyan University) and American Musical Theater Lab (Hofstra University). Georgina holds an M.F.A in Dance from the Tisch School of the Arts (NYU), and a B.A. in Theatre Performance from Marymount Manhattan College. Member of SDCF Observership Class 2016 -2017, and the League of Professional Theatre Women.
Diana Ponce (she/her) is a Mexican actress, singer and dancer based in NYC. A graduate of the Integrated Conservatory Program at the AMDA, she has participated in diverse productions such as Beauty and the Beast, Spring Awakening, Mean Girls, RENT and Grease.
Additionally, she has worked on various short films some of which include August in which she played the principal role of the same name. August has been selected for diverse film festivals around the world.
Noah Huseman is pianist, music director, and composer based in NYC. Noah holds a BA in Music Industry and through his studies became well versed in a multitude of musical genres. From classical to jazz, musical theater to salsa, Noah became notorious in the Nashville music scene as a jack-of-all-trades. He also spent valuable time in the studio, having helped write, produce, and arrange covers and originals, including his own music. With a lifelong passion for music and theater, he has directed more than 15 theatrical productions in the last four years. Recently with the Tarrytown Music Hall, Joel B. New’s recent production at Green Room 42, and Cumberland University, where he worked as Staff Pianist. He is excited to be a part of Secret Theater’s team and inspire passion for the arts in the next generation!
Burak is an Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), serves as Co-Chair of TRU’s Young Professionals and Artists Circle (YPAC), and is a member of the Freelancers Union.
Boris is a musician and teacher based in NYC. He received his Bachelors Degree in Performing Arts in piano at Brooklyn College, where he graduated Cum Laude. He majored in classical music, yet his training, teaching and performance experience extends to various genres ranging from jazz, film music, musical theater, R&B, Soul, rock, dance-pop to pop music. He has performed at Peridance Center, Arts on Site, Omonia Cafe, 5C Café, Cafe Vivaldi and Jules Bistro, to name a few. He was also a featured recitalist at Hochschule fur Musik Carl Maria von Weber, Dresden, Germany and Coimbra World Piano Meeting in Portugal. Most recently, Mr. Lemeshev performed for the PS 376 annual musical theater production “Annie”, where he also frequently works as a substitute teacher, while giving music lessons as a cluster teacher, as well as providing academic support to students in regular academic classes. Besides his extensive performance experience, he has also taught private piano and group music lessons, and performed at 78 Music Studio, Brooklyn Musical Arts, Appel Farm Arts Camp, NYC DOE and NY Edge After School. He is excited to be teaching at the Secret Academy!
